Hey all,

So my first blog. Not actually written one of these before, I guess it´s just like a diary entry so forgive me if I start to ramble and go off on a tangent!

Well I made it through my first day. Surprising I got here really..nothing like a bit of drama before I´ve even set off so this is how it went yesterday...

Got to the airport to find the flight overbooked and me without a seat. Typical. What else could go wrong and cause me more stress. Cut a long story short decided to take the deal they were offering to fly on Thurs instead but then they came up with an even better deal by sending me out via New York yesterday, with an upgrade, access to the BA lounge and loads of cash in my pocket! So of course I took it. I have to say it was actually great chilling in the lounge with free food and drink..needless to say I was a little tipsy when I boarded the flight. Some people hate flying but i´ve decided that I actually really like it, especially travelling alone!

Flight from NY was a killer though and I eventually arrived at my hostel at 7am this morning. A little nap later and I was out in the city. When they said it was big - they were not joking. Took a trip up a tower that resembled the Empire State building and the city goes on for as far as they eye can see - mad.

So saw most of the sights the centre of the city can offer. Tomorrow í´m heading to the temples at Teotihuacan for a day trip which should be good and then who knows.

So that´s my first day of my travels..it has been a good one and i´m looking forward to each day as it comes.
