This will be my first post here, and it's been a real thrill finding out that going to Japan and getting to see all new sights and meeting all new people and swimming in a whole new culture has got me on edge (But in a good way). I really haven't been thinking about the trip to much, if I think about it I start getting a little to excited so in order to keep my nerves from fraying I just don't think.
Things are slowly falling into place, I know about when I'll be leaving, I think i's either Augst 31st or Sep 2, I could just be associated the two dates because I'll actually be leaving on the 31st and getting there on the 2nd. And then I have two days to get over jet lag. WHOA TIME DIFFERENCE IN THE FUTURE! So once I have the tickets purchased, I'll feel alot better. Another go get'um moment is the fact that I found out that I will be recieving a 60,000 yen/month scholarship. That's roughly 600 dollars of awesome and a real relief to my folks. I've completely my physical and turned in that paper work along with passport copies. And Today I made an appointment with the Health Department to get my immunizations before I jet over to Japan. Whooooooo yeah. I am not looking forward to the shots. And then JUST before I leave, my Aunt will be giving my pearly whites a good clean and a check.
So all in all, doing good. I must say that the one thing that I know is going to bug me the most about going to Japan is being away from my friends and family during Christmas and other family holidays.
But I'll be sending gifts to friends and family over the holidays (and packages, I do NOT need to let my packrat mentality kill my traveling costs). So over all the trip is going well and I'm excited.
Sooner or later I'll be posting a snipet on my trip to the big ATL to get my Vista from the Japanese Consolate. XD ROAD TRIP!
Anyway, this is Carolyn signing off!
Ja Matta!
