What a special day for Mimi to get her GCSE results. We all gathered at 4pm in the only place locally where we could get WIFI the restaurant and waited for Mimi's results to be emailed to her. We were all delighted (especially Mimi) when she got 6 A's and 2 B's... Kate and I crying and even Daisy and Lily with a tear in their eyes. What an effort from Mimi. A late start this morning after the efforts of the last couple of days. We are all aching big time today and when I say aching I mean we are all hobbling around. Up at 1:45 for a 2:30am start off to the summit of Mount Kinabalu. No sleep so to say that none of us were feeling like it is an understatement. But after we started the daunting assent most of us kicked into gear. Up at 7am for our luggage to be picked up at 7:30. Quick breakfast then we collected our climb license and then in the mini bus for a short ride to the start of the climb. And wow what a climb... this section was approx 6km in itself is not bad but when you consider we were climbing 1,400 meters in that time then you will start to understand the scale of the challenge.
