Hello! We haver left byron bay and are now in surfers paradise. (though the name is slightly misleading as its not really paradise- lots of high rise buildings and crowded beach!) we had a good few days in byron; with the most active we got all week walking to a lighthouse. which was actually really far away... we got there as the sun was setting over the bay and it looked fantastic, and despite the one cloud blocking the sun it was a beautiful sunset! On the way there we both had near death experiences with GIANT lizards crossing our path and nearly attacking us! The next day we hired a couple of bikes and cycled to a local beach which was lovely and unspoilt, full of real surfer pros that put milly to shame!! On the way there milly attempted to show off by overtaking katie on a hill, but it all went wrong when the contents of her bag fell out and a car ran over her water bottle exploding it! So she then had to cycle miles to the nearest shop. We are staying here till wednesday afternoon, and although only been here a day have alredy been to the massive shopping centre where katie finally caught milly up in the shopping department! (well almost!) today we are off to the beach, but heard recently on the news that there has been a shark feeding frenzy along this stretch of the gold coast so not sure how long we will mangage to stay in the water! anway, keep the mesages coming. hope your all well. lots of love katie and milly xxxx
