Happy Easter to any one reading this, what a beautiful 4 day weekend we have here. Perfect for another long distance walk this morning, had to go it alone as Gael down in Northcliff with the family, so stayed locally and walked along the coast from Long Point too Churchill Park about 21 km's. Took my breakie with me and stopped along the way, met up with Cookie, Steph and Ian....Feet not so bad today, really loosened off the laces, still feels as if a nerve is pinched. Have put wet newspaper in the boots to try and stretch them.
Flights are booked, leave May 19th fly to Paris, for 2 nights before flying down to Biarritz and then the train to SJDP, where we need to collect credentials ( the pilgrims passport ) from the pilgrim office. We have a night booked in our first albergue, will be fun meeting up with follow pilgrims walking The Way of St James same time as us.
My shopping this week has been two pair of icebreaker merino nickers, suppose to be soft breathable and non scratchy with reduced odor qualities.
Plan to start bushing up on some Spanish phrases this week.
