The Way is a inspirational and powerful story about family, friends and the challenges we face while navigating this ever changing and complicated world. A great movie and well worth watching and it's the same path we will be following.
Now it's time to get things together and pack organized. Have splashed out and brought a new 38 liter deuter pack, very happy with that. Ideally we need to keep the pack 10% of your body weight, unlikely I will get it to 6kg, trying very hard to keep it around 7 kg.
So my list goes as follows:
Sleeping bag and sleeping sheet
Rain jacket, long pants with rip offs, one pair of shorts, a skirt, 2 tee shirts, long sleeve shirt, a singlet, nickers x 3 and bra. Boots, three pairs of socks, sandals, thermo long pants and merino top. First aid kite (thanks Bayside Medical Centre). Toiletries, fold down cup, water bladder, head touch, three in one knife / fork / and spoon. Towel & pack cover. Hat, sun cream, knee and ankle support.
Phone and charger (camera, book, guide book, touch, alarm clock and dairy). ? iPad, depending on weight.
Waking poles, pilgrim shell and stone.
Pilgrim passport, passport, travel documents and tickets. Glasses and sunnies. Shower gel doubles as washing clothes liquid, clothes line & pegs.
Wonder what I have forgotten, o'well can buy it along the way, that's right need money and credit card.
