Saigon
Hey there, Well as you all know we crossed over into Vietnam on Monday, after another smooth boarder cross we started out Vietnam adventure in Siagon. I was not feeling my perkiest when we arrived and wasn't aware that we would be arriving smack bang in the middle of a city. It reminded me of Blackpool, with all its bright flashing neon lights (pure tack), yes tack it maybe but you cannot knock the sign that said one litre of beer for 3500 Dong (9 pence). Once we were in daylight though it was another story, we took a venture into town and went through the various markets there then past that where the city was really built up and had some really beautiful French style buildings. There was even a huge Louis Vuitton (just a reminder that Vietnam is still a communist country) it even had a KFC, we decided to take a look around the Palace there, it didn't really look that much from the outside but we fell in love with the inside which was really retro and had an amazing roof terrace, it even had a pad for my private plane! Jac you k*** dont you mean helicopter, other wise you would have to have one very long roof. Once Aaron dragged me away we went and had rooftop drinks at a posh hotel, was meant to be to watch the sunset but it was very cloudy so we just amused ourselves watching the crazy traffic. We had learnt a few lessons in Phnom Penh, crossing roads and if we thought these roads were mad it was nothing compared to Saigon. We even had to take some pictures to try and capture how crazy it actually was there are about 30 motobikes to every one car!
