Melton, Melbourne

Hey guys,

Well we decided to hot foot it down to Melbourne with Cat and Tiggy, they were staying with family friends and invited us along to stay with them, they bribed us with material things like an inside toilets, hot shower, tv, free internet and home cooking, after 2 months in a van we couldn't possibly say no!So we took a day on the road and 11 hours of driving with the occasional stop we arrived, sweating hungry and tired.Steve and Eve are from Southend and have been absolutely fantastic to us both, they've opened up their house to us and made us feel so welcome, we've never been fed so well and Eve knew all the tricks, feeding us very English food, even a full breaky.

Steve booked Aaron onto a team for a game of 5 a side, it was great that he got to play and meet all the lads on the team, we went out on Thursday night with them to the local pub, it was 'toss the boss' night which was you ordered a pint or Pot as they call it and the barman flicks a coin, if you win you get the drink free if you lose you just have to pay for it.This would we both agreed, go down very well at home!

Friday night was a bbq for Steve's birthday, he'd invited the football boys and loads of other friends, he's a dj so some of his fellow dj's came along too, we met Degsy a fellow scouser and his lovely girlfriend Jacquie, us packers were in charge of the bbq which could have gone two ways, fortunately we haven't had any calls about food poisoning as yet!

Saturday night was a night in Melbourne town, Steve Dj'ing and us just lapping the city up, we stayed in a backpackers and had a fab night dancing to Dub and Reggae, another form of music for aaron to add to his IPod!

Sunday there was a music festival, we didn't get up until 3.30pm and finally ventured into town to listen to some live acts and of course Steve himself on Decks!As you can guess by Sunday night we were all absolutely knackered and Cat and Tiggy had to come home and pack as they caught a flight today to New Zealand, we're however staying on and abusing Eve for a few more days, we're heading to Ramsey Street tomorrow so you'll all have the pictures asap.Hope you enjoy the pictures from our long tiring weekend, thank god we don't have to get up for work eh!
