Hello,

Well we have had a couple of cool days settling into Chaing Mai Life, which has mostly been spent by the pool chatting with the other backpackers. From saturday onwards its been a really good laugh as everyone flocked in for the weekend. We had Jocks ,Isralies' Irish Aussies and everyone else even some decent Yanks. After nozing about saturday afternoon we caught up with Rich and Claire from last week for a few beers and a meal (in which i hugely offended the waitress after swearing in German in which she also understood... Doh!) it was really lovely catching up with them and they quickly calmed my fears about the trek (especially the Mozzies)

Also if You're wondering who the fella is with the big hair, his name is Raamy from Israel who we noticed in Bangkok a few doors down the road, he also managed to follow us to Chiang Mai with his mate Joshi. We spent a few hours messing around the pool before going shopping down at the massive sunday market. I thought Jac was hard work shopping this lad was even harder to say he was fussy was a bit of a understatement. We also sampled some lovely local dishes which included chicken skin scratchings some disgusting black jelly which i don't know what the hell it was with ice and brown sugar, it was RANK. I also ate a silk worm at this stall that was also selling deep fried cokroaches and stick insects, it was pretty horrible i am so glad i never tried the cokroach although i really wanted to just to send the picture to my Nan.  

The Night was Finished off in the best bar (officialy voted by me) in the world. Its called TCH and is a rooftop bar, with a very low bar stopping a very high fall (scary) you sat down on cushions and just looked out over Chiang Mai at night listening to some very cool music Ace!
