Sorry the blog is a bit late,
Well after Jacks iccy belly (lots of moaning) we had to start gathering pace to get to Singapore. There was no way i was missing out on Phi Phi and picking up my box of choclatey goods (mum i know i have put on a few pounds but those boxies were massive and got slung straight in the bin, cheeky cow) we had to stay a night in Krabi then the next morning rushed over to Phi Phi on the ferry. Just approaching Phi Phi is amazing in its own right with loads of beautiful little beaches and tree covered rocks, i was defintley gonna enjoy this place. Our place to stay was in the hills which was nice (just in case) we threw our bags in and went straight into the sunset tour which was a trip to monkey beach (careful they bite) so i stood well away. Jack actually fed one but our tour guide walked right in the way and the moment was lost (pleb). Then we were off tp Phi Phi Lay which is the place were the Beach was filmed, here we done some snorkelling the fish were amazing, they weren't fazed by us at all and didn't get out of the way which was cool. Someone said they saw a small shark swimming in the shallows, good job i didn't see that bad boy. The boat then took us off to the ACTUAL BEACH which was absoloutley gorgeous, here we swam in the amazingly blue bay and took a Kayak out and discoverd all these cool enclaves in the rocks. By this time sunset was approaching and we jumped back on the boat to enjoy the best possible way sitting in the middle of the ocean bobbing on a boat with beer and food... heaven.
Day two in Phi Phi was spent firmly on land enjoying some more beach action. We both noticed that there were still traces of the damage the Tsunami left. Everything here was wrecked and no building was left standing. Almost every building is a brand spanker and a lot are still being built the whole main village is a building site nearing completion but there are piles of rubble with old shop signs that lay there from the wreckage, and palm trees ripped up some snapped in half. When we met Lydia and Bobby later on in Malayasia they told us they were in a bar when a foreign guy took a picture of two local girls, one of the girls sister died in the tsunami and when he showed here the picture her face was above her in the background. When they told me that every hair on my body stood up.
Anyway we were off for more paradise it was the perenthian's next.
But we have a competition
There will be something in one of the pics, who is looking closely enough whoever notices' it first. wins a postcard Woo Hoo! (and it has nothing to do with that story i've just told you.)
Lots of love Miles and Jones
