After Cusco 2400 m we flew back to Lima for a night and went on a city night tour which was rather splendid with all the christmas lights. We then went to a folk show which didn't include panpipes.

We flew on to Quito which is about 2800m and I am sufferring a bit with the altitude,but I suspect it is more to do with the air pollution here. We started on a city tour yesterday and are "resting" today. I have tried replying to emails but due to a poor signal was thwarted at the send option.

I tried to enter Quito as being in Ecuador but the blog site was not allowing this hence I have moved it to Peru.

Our Hotel is splendid with courtyards and old colonial style decor, we seem to have the only room with city vistas and appear to have the only 4th floor room with our own staircase. The Hotel is called the Patio Andaluz
