Finally got here after an extremely long journey and little sleep.

We had a look round Arequipa this morning and it felt like we had walked into the pages of a National Geographic article.

We move on to Colca tomorrow following the Inca trail. It is much cooler here somewhere in the low twenties.

We had spectacular views of the Andies and lake Titicaca when we flew in to Lima.

Unfortunately we did not get a window seat this morning on our flight from Lima.

We have seen alpaca on the menu but so far not guinea pig but we have been assured it is a great delicacy and the locals laugh at the idea of anyone keeping them as pets.

NB If anyone is going to Brazil don't forget to take a sink plug with you!
