13hours sleep! Felt so good. Now fully awake and much more eager o explore, today we were going solo! So cue being nervous all over again. To start off, we went for a walk down Linking Road again and have some breakfast at the legendary Theobroma, their egg roll is to DIE for. Hailed our first auto to the Bandstand Promenade once again and this time, to explore more further to the Bandra Fort and the garden nearby and to see the massive Worli Sea Link. One Indian girl stared at me and Arran, non-stop, literally going 'Oh My God' with a shocked face and while her boyfriend grunted and dismissed us as we were nothing to him. Felt like a celebrity for a moment.
We then went to Cartier Road, similar to the bandstand, a pathway next to the sea with beautiful sea view. Some Indian was washing their clothes in the sea, some having their bath in the sea too, a very unusual sight. The amount of litter on the beath is SHOCKING! A huge amount of litter in the buses and stray dogs was roaming the streets.
We were stared at alot. Avantika explained it is their culture to stareanyway, but the fact that we were white, we were young tourist too, being deaf also added more attention to us as we were signing. Me and Arran was used to the staring anyway as people stare at us in London when we sign.
Things were relatively cheap here too. An average meal for two is about 700rupees, which is about £8. We went to Papa Panchos for dinner, easily the best place in Mumbai to eat. Had a chicken Kebab with Lamb Mutton and rice and some greek yoghurts and heavily spiced up salads.
Having the time of my life here.
