Mike & Benedict's World Adventures
It was time to see the most recognised sights of Sydney as the bus drove through the rain taking in the views of the Oprah house and harbour as we went. Once again we arrived at our destination without somewhere to stay but at least an idea of where we wanted to. This quickly changed when we were approached by a tout offering us a lift in the rain to a relatively cheap hostel in a good location. It turned out to be a really good hostel.
The time in Sydney was spent searching the shops, seeing the usual sights and drinking (i drank everynight i was there but this wasn't entirely my fault). The first night there and the first night out took us to a club that wasn't exactly busy but we were with a good group from our hostel and the drink was cheap. We also had a wine and cheese night and a bbq and goon night where you paid about AUS$2 and you had free wine a.k.a. goon with the food - brilliant!
We met a crazy Dutch gal called Yoska who was a good laugh, some (rare) funny French people as well as the mandatory English. I managed to annoy one guy in our room as according to Ben the next day, he was shouting abuse at me for quite a while during the night as I was snoring too loud for him to sleep- I successfully managed to sleep through this which i'm very proud of.
It was now time to rent a car and head down to Melbourne for the neighbours night and a visit to one of my uni friends.....
