We were both pretty tired after getting up at half 5 in the morning to catch our ferry back to La Ceiba, and then a bumpy bus to the national park of Pico Bonito just below La Ceiba. Most of the day was just spent chilling out by the river and going for swim, and jumping in off the rocks. We were staying in a place called the Jungle River lodge, there was not to much to do if you were not on a tour but it was nice to just chill for a day.
After a good sleep, Bec and I were ready for our canopy tour in the morning. We got strapped in (which is not the most comfortable for a man) and then onto some wires in the tree tops. They started off with some practice wires and left the best till the last 2 or 3, (there were 8 in total) which were bigger and faster and either sent you through tight passages in the trees or over a river flowing below you! It was a lot of fun, althought it was quite short as it was only a 1 and half hour tour. We were quite lucky because we just missed the rain, and as we got back it started to poor down and it reminded me of the monsoons in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the rain did not stop until the following day so we just played some cards and relaxed some more in their bar area.
The Following day we left for San Pedro Sula to catch our flight to Equador!
