We arrived in the mid afternoon in Penang at our hostel called Red In Court, a stones throw away from Little India and china town which is on the outskirts of Georgetown. As we enter Mersing for our second time.... It's a tiny, beautiful, bustling city. Full of extremely friendly locals that always have a smile on their face as they glare at you as you walk by. Alyssa was nice enough to allow me to stay one more day, so I could get in a dive to see a new wreck they just sunk recently. We had to move to a place called Nasri 2, The floors were solid, so no creepy crawlers could come up through there. Which in fact they could come in from any other crack in the place or open window. Tonight was a fun night. After a day of diving, the bar manager had a bunch of cheese and bread brought up from the mainland. And we managed to convince, Darren, the dive shop manager to make his famous spaghetti and meat sauce. And bring out his tv to the bar to have a movie night! Evening was full of great laughs and good stories and plenty of drinking.

Our beach view chalets were, well what I was expecting, however lacking some features from the modern world. 1) air conditioning. Yet it did have a fan that pushed the heat around and did cool it off a little. 2) a toilet that properly flushes 3) hot water. I greatly enjoyed the chalets. Basic, simple. Bed was clean and did have a mosquito net over the bed, and drinking water was supplied in a massive thermos which you can go get filled down at the receptio...
