Hi everyone!
It's been some months since we published anything here, but the latest news is that I'm working on turning 'Against The Current' into an audiobook.
For the past week I've been recording four-hour sessions in a studio, and today got within two chapters of finishing but ran out of time. Frustrating! The sound engineer unfortunately has a job to do in the Middle East, so it's looking like the book won't be finished until the new year.
However, it's been an interesting learning curve, down which I have rapidly slid. Even as a seasoned broadcaster, I've never had to record for four hours at a time, so it's been challenging to say the least!
Hopefully the audiobook will be ready for release later in January, and will perhaps find a ready market with those who are visually impaired or who have to drive long distances and need something to keep them awake.
Right now though, after a total of 16 hours' recording, I need to go and gargle - with Chardonnay!
PS: You can listen to a sample 5'33" of Chapter 18 here!
