After a morning run and a gloriously relaxed breakfast we beached ourselves on Bondi. I manouvered Luke's surfboard through the public transport system and caught a couple of waves, but mostly got munched by the monstrous surf and swept along by the serious rip tides. Bob read a million books on the beach and we had lunch on the front followed by Mesina icecreams which lived up to their hype. I had a 'Jamie Lanister' special whilst Bob tried to come to terms with a grown up mint choc chip.
We returned home via the supermarket and cooked lasagne with homemade Anzac biscuits with chocolate and caramel for pudding. Conversation flowed, helped by the beer and wine and we learned a lot about Aussie history as well as understanding a little more about exactly what it is that Luke and Bec do.
