Rainbow Beach




We finally got to Rainbow Beach and checked in at our hostel Dingo's. Had a look around town and went to the beach to watch the surfers. The beach here was nice, although not so nice in all this rain! Staying here was just a stopover so we could go on a Fraser Island Trip. We got up early the next morning, had free breakfast pancakes with peanut butter... yum and left for Fraser.


Fraser was awesomeee.. It's an island of rainforest (the only one in the world which grows on sand 8-) ) and we were in a converted truck soo the drives were like a rollercoaster! Hardly sat on our seats because we were flying round the bus! Hahaa. We were heading for the fresh water lake called Lake Mckenzie but got stuck because a massive tree had fallen down and blocked the roads, so we had a steak on the Barbie for early lunch... as per usual. No shrimps yet. Then headed to the lake later on. The Lake was really good; it was huge and looked like the sea but tasted nice. The water was crystal clear and really warm so was better to be in it than in the rubbish rain!


On the way back we it was high tide and we drove back to the ferry along the beach, so we drove through the sea! We saw a 4X4 get stuck which was funny, we stopped to help.


We left Fraser Coast the next day to go to Steve Irwin's Zoo in Noosa for Laws Birthday. Excitttinggggg. The Weather is supposed to be sunny down South, so hurrrry up sunshine. We didn't think it rained in Aus. Huffff.
