People say to me, Stan your a very funny man, but are you a romantic man? Well, yes. I still enjoy making love at 65, which is convenient as i live at 63. It's only a two minute walk!
I'm here all week! Centrifugal force!

Hi Miffy, hope you are ok, we are all fine, Lewis has been a little poorly in hospital with his asthma. But is better now. We finish school on friday. Great!!!!!
Lots of footy, it is really hot at the moment, we have just had a bbq with mum and dad.
Sports day was yesterday, and we have school trips this week. I had a visit to middle school, which looked good. See you soonxxx

Wow, what a wonderful journey so far - you've experinced so much in such a short space of time - Good on you! I know what you mean about the disabled and amputee beggars - we were mobbed every day by high-speeding, no legged Gambians in dodgy wheelcahirs! Don't tell them your name and try to avoid endless necklaces being shuvved on your head! Apparantly the parents push their children in front of cars so they become disabled and have a better chance of begging - Not Nice!
Anyway, happy travels Miffy!

Easy Tiger - the Germany v Italy game was by far the best of the whole tournament. Hope we don't have to tell mum you've been getting too much sun!

Hi Miff,
Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Shame about the tooth, ear and bike crash!
I am so jelous of all the exciting things you have been up to, wish I was there, in fact I wish I was anywhere but England at the moment, its been raining on and off all day! Great British summer hey!
Its been good looking through all your pics today. I have started at the beginning and worked my way through to the latest photos an journal entries... Its like following a great adventure, all seems so far from the rat race back here!
I'm so glad your having a good time and doing the things that make you happy... combined with lots of beers by the sounds of things.
Keep up the good patter in the journal and let us know how you get on with the rest of the divemasters.
All the best.
Em. x
p.s Neil says 'hi' and that he'll write soon... he is currently sprawled across the sofa watching the World Cup Final.. sorry Miff but not your most recent photos have been able to distract him from the beloved game!
Laura
Hi Miffy
Greetings from Rome x
I loved reading your most recent entry, it's great to hear you talking about somewhere that I can relate to and have actually seen. I understand what you said about the cemetry, it certainly is a humbling place and a credit to the thai people in terms of the care and attention that they have devoted to the memory of those that served there. I am also glad that you walked along hell fire pass, I'm not sure how hot it is there at the moment but it was very hot the day we did our trek but irrespective of the heat the place had a very soulful feel to it.
Still love all your entries, you are always true to yourself and it all makes for fab reading.
We have only been in Italy a few days but it has been lovely to get away from the daily routine. Accepting that it would have been great to see England in the final (condolences to all you hardcore England fans..!) we are looking forward to the atmosphere here in Italy for the final. Incidentally, the waiter at the restaurant we went to this evening thought that Rooney has fire in his heart! Although that didn't seem to help his impression of England too much... but I guess they can be smug, they made it the final!!!
We leave Rome tomorrow and pick up a hire car and head for Orvieto before moving on to San Gimignano in Tuscany, not sure we are likely to see any elephants or tigers but who knows what might happen after a few too many glasses of chianti!!
Loving your work as ever, take care, Laura xx

Just read your adventures over the last fornight and i am surprised it took you so long to hurt yourself but at least you are soldiering on. I think there may something wrong with my laptop as no matter how many times i read the story it says THAI BOXING on the screen....im sure it should read something like "ive been busying myself with improving my female relations..."
any hoo must dash as i have some shut eye catch up on,be safe ,be careful and keep you eyes peeled for some familiar flip flops passin by! Love from me xxxxx

Young boy comes home from school. He says to his dad, "Dad, will you help me with my maths homework?" His dad says, "Son, it just wouldn't be right." Boy goes, "Probably not dad, but have a go anyway!!"

Yo Miffie!
Starting to recover from a massive depression after 0-2 against germany. Sweden really didn't play well for the whole WC, except for the 2nd half against England I guess. Quarterfinal against Portugal today is bound to be a good game..
Anyway. Been home for 3 weeks now. Working my ass off during the weeks and drinking my brains out during the weekends. Nice to come home to find out people have been missing you (especially the ladies..) So I'm kept busy.
You got to stop hurting yourself. Honestly. There are easier ways to get girls (although I bet they all cling to you like mosquitos when you tell them your sob-stories)
Got to go. Nice seeing some photos of your trip.. How is that cool hat of yours working out?
