Miffy's Mischievous Adventures
Hi all,
My last days in Kho Tao were a scream! I relaxed on the diving front and enjoyed the weather and just chilled out a bit. Said goodbye to some good friends too. It also saw an end to 10 months of hair growth. The barnett got a number one all over! Naturally I got sun burnt which was painful - never mind....
It also saw me complete my divemaster course, meaning I am professional diver! First level but next year I can see myself becoming an instructor. Before finishing the course you obviously have to complete the snorkel test. Ian and I decided to do ours on the same evening. To be honest I was a little apprehensive once I know I was about to down a hideously strong bucket in one go and without being able to breath.
Ian decided to go first which I thought would be an advantage because if he was sick it doesn't look so bad if I was! However, he done it in one - b*ll*x (I did find out the next day that his bucket only had two shots in it though!). The pressure was on.... Needless to say I punished it. Eating it like Andréa did. Christ it was strong though - it just tasted like pure vodka. Every 10 minutes I could feel the alcohol taking affect, however aftre an hour I started drinking again - been rude not too! The night out after was a bobby dazzler with a lot of nakedness! and surprisingly I was one of them. I can't really describe what they were up to as this is a family website! But it was so funny and in a rival dive schools bar too... I made it out till 05:30 in the morning - pupa simmons would of been proud. Good night had by all
The next day saw Kiwi Steve find out that he had won the lottery, 1.8 million kiwi dollars to be precise! The funny thing was that he had won it in June but they couldn't get hold of him as he provided them with a incorrect telephone number. The first thing he did was call his mum and told her she was retired, now that is cool! The second thing was he bought 10 thousand baht worth (150 pounds) of spirits and had a party round his gaff. The boy can mix a mean cocktail. He wasn't shy in buying a few buckets when we were in the castle either. Enjoy it big boy and I'll see you in New Zealand next year.
Just a couple of events that took place in my final days in Kho Tao. I had a fantastic time on Kho Tao and my fondest memory will be the people that I met and spend a tremendous 3 months with. It was a pleasure to get to know you all!!
Oh yeah and Marine Dave got attacked by a trigger fish that bit his head, requiring 6 stitches! Nice
About time I started to travel again. Borneo here we come.
Bye for now
