We were awake early, over an hour before the wake up call. This was partly because we couldn't sleep and partly because of the noise outside.
The six of us had arranged to meet outside Medina for our last breakfast at 7:30. After breakfast, we took photos and said our goodbyes. Barbara and I then grabbed our stuff and got straight off the ship. Once I reached the baggage hall, I WhatsApped Angie to let her know I was off the ship. Barb and I found our luggage and we then were outside. She went off to the station and I rang Angie. She told me she was 1.7 miles away! She turned up almost on the dot of 8:30. I loaded the car, reset the mirrors and drove home. I got back just before 11:00.
After a visit to the garage for a key fob battery replacement and a reset of my pressure sensors, I hit the supermarket. Back home I did two lots of washing, with a couple of small loads left for tomorrow. I put the suitcases and contents away in their various homes. I'd managed to bring back a lot of clean stuff, so did a little ironing and I'm looking forward to doing some more tomorrow! I also managed to sort through about three weeks worth of mail, so there's more of that to look forward to as well.
So my South American Grand Tour on P&O's Aurora is now just history and lots of great memories.
