Last day started cool, windy and sunny. Finished packing in the morning and I put one case out for collection at 10:30, and it had gone by midday.
In his noon announcement, the Captain announced that over the cruise we had raised £10,495 for MacMillan Cancer Fund and £8,400 for the Vanuatu Relief Fund. He also wished us good luck with Customs tomorrow!
After lunch which, by chance, we all ate together, the men lost the final BoS by 5 points. As the top deck is still closed off, some of the quoiters decided to take matters into their own hands. Someone nipped up and grabbed six quoits. Barbara got some chalk from the kids club and a dozen of us went to the Terrace Deck. There we marked out a court and played men vs women. The women won, but skullduggery was involved! It was somewhat fresh out there, but way better than being cooped up inside.
I won the final Countdown Conundrum on the radio. Unfortunately, it didn't count for a gold sticker as the redemption period was over. It was just for the honour of winning.
All my cases were outside by 18:30 and two had been taken away by dinner time. Despite hearing them practice during the afternoon, one of the Binliners vocalists is ill and so tonight they're showing a film in the theatre. At 10:40 and 22:45. As I can hear what goes on in the theatre, I guess that means I'll be kept awake until around 01:00. What joy!
There were two quizzes at 22:30 today, the pub quiz and the Syndicate. We opted for the pub quiz and won our final bottle of wine. We gave it to Ammi from the casino.
Tomorrow is disembarkation day. I can't believe it's almost over. I had a great cruise, enjoyed meeting my friends again and made new ones too. Back to normal tomorrow.
