Day 100.
I last visited Civitavecchia in September 2011 and at that time went to Rome. This time I went to Bracciano. The countryside on the way was very pretty. When we reached Bracciano, we first went on a trip on Lake Bracciano. After we arrived at Trevignano, we reboarded the coach to return to Bracciano. When we arrived back in the town, we went to Castello Odescalchi, which is owned by a princess in Rome. The north wing is open to the public, while the south wing is used by the owners.
The tour through the castle was quite fast and I would have liked to spend a little more time there. After the castle, we had about an hour in Bracciano before returning to the ship. Personally, I would have liked a tour round both of the towns, as well as longer in the castle.
Back at the docks, I went into Civitavecchia. It was closed, basically. The shops seem to close between 13:00 and 16:00. I strolled along the front, where a few people were sunbathing. Quite a lot of building work was going on along the promenade. It will be very nice when completed.
We were moored by two ships, the Aida Mar and the Costa Classica.
I won gold sticker number 15 today, in the pm Individual Quiz. We also won a bottle of wine in the Champions Challenge (Masquerades was being used for dancing). As we have a full set for each of the remaining formal nights and Linda's birthday, we drank it! Today was a good port day.
