Barbara, Rob, Linda and I took a cab to Pearl Harbor and spent the morning there. We went out to the USS Arizona memorial and then after having lunch on board, we took the shuttle to the Ala Moana shopping centre. I bought a couple of t shirts and then Rob and I left the girls behind and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for a drink, or two. Well, it was happy hour! We then strolled along Waikiki Beach, past the Royal Hawaiian and Moana (the one I stayed in, way back) hotels taking in the sunset before returning to the ship.

The girls didn't get back until late, so Rob and I ate in a brew pub in the Aloha Center and then we drank in the Crow's Nest, Terrace and Pennant bars until Sailaway at just before midnight! The first Sailaway on time or early this cruise! It rained very lightly, once or twice today, the first rain I've seen since I left the UK.

The extra norovirus precautions have been lifted. We can now serve ourselves in the Orangery, use salt and pepper shakers, handle the photos in the gallery and do the jigsaws again.

It's been over 30 years since I was last here, and boy has it changed. So many more high rise buildings and shops and stuff.
