A day of disappointments really. As my tubing trip had been cancelled, I was hoping to see something of the island. No such luck. There were no tour agents by the port, only shuttle buses to local shopping centres, which is where we ended up.

Whilst shopping I discovered that one of my credit cards was missing, so I've had to cancel that. Lunch was a hot dog, in Costco!

Back on board, right after the Sailaway the captain came on to say that there are problems with the port propeller shaft and so there would be itinerary changes. And, boy, are there changes. Bora Bora, Napier and Wellington have been cancelled, we now have two days in Auckland (sigh) and they've added a day in the Bay of Islands. They'll be sorting out excursions soon and as compensation, we will all get £100 on board credit.

There are an awful lot of unhappy people on board. I returned my world cruise t shirt and mug for a refund as they are now totally wrong. I could live with Nawiliwili being spelt Nawillwill, but the deletion and addition of ports just makes them useless.

I saw my first Headliners show today. They only joined the ship as a company in Southampton and I thought I'd give them a sector to bed in. They weren't very good.

All in all not too good a day.
