Sea conditions: Rough. Wind Force: 8. It was quite rough last night, but I slept OK. Had kippers for breakfast then walked a mile, it was really quite warm. There's a distinct difference between the port and starboard sides of the ship when it comes to temperature. Today the port side is quite warm but starboard is quite cool with a stiff breeze.
In dance class, we did our final social Foxtrot, by learning how to turn a corner. I'm still hopeless. We finished off with the Cha Cha Cha and not only did we include New York we also added the whisk! AND we did it at full tilt too.
Lost in the first round of deck quoits, I was partnered with Yvonne and let her down badly.
The first of the black tie nights tonight. It was also the Captain's Gala Party, so lots of free booze. It should have been held yesterday, so we had the Gala Dinner menu but not the party. Vice versa today. The guys and I went to both and I managed to sink 3 G&T's and about 1 1/2 bottles of red. The captain said that because of the port change from Hilo to Nawiliwili, we're staying in Honolulu until midnight. Went to bed slightly sloshed.
