Rain threatened but didn't eventuate. A walk around another of Palermo's food markets was again fascinating with the stall holders, and we saw only males, calling out and tempting customers. This was largely in dialect so a little hard to decipher. Among the stalls was another selling frittoli (offal), which was packed. Mick had a sfincione ( light, almost spongy pizza) which he pronounced tasty.
Next stop was the Henri Cartier- Bresson photo exhibit. C-B is a well known French humanist photographer who died aged 95 only in 2004. He is admired for being able to catch the exact - decisive- moment and has photographed numerous well known people and spent time in various countries to do so. We saw his photos of Truman Capote, Martin Luther King, Jean- Paul Sartre and Harry S Truman. He pioneered street photography.
We went home for lunch and then to the nearby Antonio Pasqualino Puppet Museum which has a large display of puppets from around the world but in particular Sicily. There were even very old Laurel and Hardy puppets in this museum which I did not expect to see. The facial expressions are terrific.
We had the most incredible dinner at Carizzi d'Amur, also very close by in a restaurant with great service, food and atmosphere.
