Hello Sausages
Hello All,
Sorry for taking so long to write this, I've been with my sister and Brent which has been fabulous, we've done so much in the last 3 weeks. I had a fabulous New Years Eve overlooking the Opera house then at a house party where we drank beer and Champagne till 3 in the morning (we started drinking at 7pm), the fireworks were amazing, they took my breath away, I met lots of really nice people even though one of them (a gay b****) said "who's youngest out of you and your sister?" using my tan as an excuse for looking older, he then insulted me again as I was leaving saying Botox love (it was very funny at the time sounds a bit awful as I write it).
I met up with the Irish girls on a very drunken night at Bondi and ended up pulling one of their Irish mates called Barry, we ended up snogging on the beach till the sun came up (5.30am), I felt like a complete teenager again - hehehe.
I've been to Palm beach where Home and Away is filmed - class I know. Been to Port Nelson and went Dolphin watching which was amazing, they were running, sorry swimming at the front of the boat and jumping and being absolutely adorable - I want to be a dolphin!
We all went to see Brents Aunt, she owns a farm with lots of cows who all stand round her house for food, it was SO funny it reminded me of the advert with the milk and the cows want it back.... ok I am weird. The same day we went to Hunter Valley, where they make loads of wines, we went to the Vineyards and did lots and lots of wine tasting, then what do I do - I only end up buying 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of pink Champagne - I'm a backpacker, WHAT AM I DOING! Ok, ok I'll drink them!
I saw my first Cricket match last week Australia won - it;s not as good as football, but now I know the rules I'll follow it more, even though England are rubbish (we lost to SA)
Brent brough us all tickets to see a concert in the Opera House, it was amazing, I can't describe how good it was you've just got to believe me, we drank nearly 2 bottles of Champagne there before and during the Interval and I nearly started crying when they brought a Tenor singer out who made my legs turn to jelly - my idea man will be able to sing like that - mmmmmmm.
We also went to Tonga Zoo, I saw a kangeroo, a koala, a hippo, a penguin (my favorite), seals...etc sorry I won't name them all, and on a seperate day we went to the Aquarium - I came face to face with a shark - Oh BE JESUS!!!!
Finally we completed the Bridge walk (the Harbour Bridge), it was COOL, took 3 hours but amazing views and a fabulous history lesson on how they built it.
My life at the moment is lady of leisure as I haven't got off my arse and started looking for a job yet, just drinking at the Opera bar and many other snazzy places thanks to Brent, laying on the beaches, Manly, Balmoral, Shelly not Bondi! (Tamy - I will start going to Backpacker places now - thanks for your tips babe)
Sydney is a bit of a scary place with SO many beautiful people who have confidence that I just dream of having. I'm not too sure if I'm going to stay here or go to Melbourne or Brisbane as I have friends in both and not many here. Brents friends have all offered to take me out and an Irish couple David and I met in Ko Phangan have just arrived and sent me an email so I'll meet up with them in the next few days. I'll move out of Brent's Parents in a week or so to the backpackers places and see what it's like there, then decide.
Anyway - Sorry for the rant, I know it's a long postcard all about me me me but I hope you had fun reading it. I'm off to a Temp agency now to see if I can get me a job!
I'm missing you all very much.
Love you guys. M xxxxxxxxxxx
