Made it to New Zealand! The flight wasn't as hideous as expected, I was sooooo tired managed to sleep for most of the 12 hours! As the plane landed I was a little upset to fly into all the rain and gloom after the amazing California weather, but onwards and upwards!!

Spent all of a day in Auckland- not very interesting at all. Another backpacker has since told me its known as "the city with no soul" so pleased to be out of there!

Yesterday joined the "Magic bus" tour, which seems pretty cool. Went to hot water beach and dug a hole in the sand to have a sit in. The tide was still quite high so it didn't go too well, but the sand and water were hot thats for sure! So hot you couldn't pick it up in places!! Also went to Cathedral Cove which was really pretty, starting to get a feel of teh "real" New Zealand. Spent the night in Whitianga on the beach and got come good advice from other backpackers. Also carved a necklace out of bone. Very touristy but it came out well!!

Today been to Waitomo Caves on a tour, and saw literally thousands of Glowworms! Very pretty. Was impressed.

Enough moving around for a moment, spending 3 nights in Rotorua to chill in the hot spas and see the Geezers. Still debating over this sky dive thing... it seems to be the done thing but I am very scared. I'll keep you posted............
