Byron Bay.... been here a week, it feels like a life time and could still stay much much longer. Got a really good vibe about it, I'm pleased its off season otherwise I imagine the whole place to bee too busy and packed out. First night of being here payed 5 bucks for a Sangria party at the hostel... red goon really... but it was cool, watched a fire show, met some friends then onto some really awful backpacker bars that were packed, expensive and not so cool. ...

So, been stopping at lots of little ports and villages up the East coast to split up mamouth coach rides into 3/4 hour bits! First stop- Newcastle- bit like its English namesake- industrial. Not all that interesting and weather was awful, so just had a few drinks with some hostel friends and onwards! Next up Port Macquarie. I liked it here. Since my last blog I visited Canberra.... ok.... not very exciting... but saw Paliment House and went out for a bevy with Michael Jordan who is doing well. He managed to warn me about the dangers of Australia to a nice girl like me travelling alone....
