Byron Bay.... been here a week, it feels like a life time and could still stay much much longer. Got a really good vibe about it, I'm pleased its off season otherwise I imagine the whole place to bee too busy and packed out.

First night of being here payed 5 bucks for a Sangria party at the hostel... red goon really... but it was cool, watched a fire show, met some friends then onto some really awful backpacker bars that were packed, expensive and not so cool. The next day with a major headache I decided that was not what I wanted to do in Byron so headed for Nimbin for a day. What a town of freaks!! All good though, my new friends and I smoked a joint, ate a cookie and went with the Nimbin beat!

Met another group of people who were much more on my wavelength and we spent alot of time watching free live bands. Had campfires on the beach, and one guy brought a guitar. Perfect! So relaxing and drunk at the same time!

So thats it or the week! Bit of beach time, walking, watching the sufers, beach time, beer, smoke, beach......

It made such a nice change staying still for long enough to spread out, but the call of the open road is forever there, and tomorrow I leave for Surfers Paradise, which I expect to be completely the opposite to this lovely, chilled hippy place!
