Happy Fathers Day! We got to sleep in today. We did not have to be on the bus until 11:00am so we took advantage of being in Italy last night and most of us did not go to bed until after 3 so the extra sleep this morning was awesome. Michelle and I decided it would be a good idea to have a party in our room that started at like 2am this morning. For some reason everyone always ends up in our room at the end of the night and for the second time on this trip we got a noise complaint and the hotel broke up our get together :( Oh well- we just moved to the front terrace. Michelle and II got up around 9 and Lindsey, Baylee and Kailee trickled into our room one by one to come lay around with us until we decided to go upstairs to the restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast we got ready for the day and met up with everyone outside the hotel.

We had an hour bus ride to the Volterra where Twilight was filmed :) We ate at an authentic Pizza place and hung out for a little while. Volterra is different than I pictured it to be. It is pretty but not as pretty as San Gimignano where we are staying. We had a two hour walking historical tour- oh joy. Worst one yet hands down. Half of it was in a museum and I thought a few people were actually going to pass out. It was a really nice day, sunny and really hot. Michelle says the tour was boring and the worst thing we have done. Our tour guide thought he was like all powerful an talked about the meaning of love and religion and then 9/11- kind of a crazy dude.

After the tour we got some Gelato in the center of town and walked around for a while. We met back up with everyone in central square. Michelle and I wandered off and found an outside farmers market with cheeses and wines and olive oil and breads to sample. It was good! We headed to the bus and all of us fell asleep on our way back. When we got back to the hotel we got a hotdog and sat by the fountain in front of our hotel. Lindsey, Kailee, Michelle, Devon, Amy and I all went shopping for a little while and then headed back to the hotel.

We are now just hanging out in our hotel room. Getting ready for Italy night number two in San Gigiamo . We are heading to Pissa tomorrow for the morning to see the leaning tower of Pissa.
