Just a quick update. I have just spent the last couple of days up at Lake Baikal, the largest freshwater lake in the world they say. Even bigger than the 5 great lakes combined! Anway, it is big, and very cold. We camped beside it and drank vodka beside it (when in russia do as the russians do!)

About to head south now towards Mongolia. Will most likely be at the border crossing tomorrow at some stage and hopfully get in with the bike without a drama. Thanks to Peter from the mongolian consulate in sydney for providing me with a letter hopefully allowing me to do so.... Will hopfully be able to update this site from Ulaanbaatar in a few days saying how easy it was....

The plan also is to collect some new steering head bearings that have been sent to the DHL office there for me to collect. Lets see how well everything falls into place! Oh, and the only other thing on my mind right now is how badly i need a shower! But that can wait i guess till next week!
