INTO THE LION'S DEN
Today was awesome. We went on a Third Reich walking tour and covered all the key sites relating to the Nazi Party, WWII, the Cold War & the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was really interesting especially given that we know a lot about it already.
We also had a look through a WWII museum and saw some photos, newspaper articles and Nazi propaganda that we hadn't seen before.
We then had lunch at a beer house, and then spent the afternoon wandering around the shopping area near Checkpoint Charlie. Humorously, Playboy magazines were provided in one of the girly shoe stores in order to keep male companions occupied.
Yesterday I said that Berlin was pretty cool. Today I'd have to say that Berlin is easily one of the best places we've visited so far, and I've got a cold or something today, which would normally bring my mood down.
Also, must say that I'm rapt to see that the pies pulled off an unlikely win in Adelaide, top notch. I'll have to don the guernsey in Amsterdam tomorrow.
For the rest of the evening, we're going to have an early/quiet night, we've got an early start in the morning, and the following two nights in Amsterdam are going to be large.
Keep on truckin'.
