FULL TOURIST MODE
Our last full day in Paris. We made the most of it with another day of epic trekking, but we saw heaps more stuff today. Started in the morning with a couple of hours checking out the exhibits in the Louvre. I now know that if anyone ever asks me "hey guy, how big is the Louvre?" the correct answer is "holy sh!tballs, Batman".
We saw a bunch of awesome old stuff, mostly Egyptian, Greek and Roman artefacts as well as the obligatory Italian oil paintings. One of the best parts about the Louvre is the building itself - amazing architecture & interior detailing.
Nell and I then walked up to Notre Dame, and took some happy snaps. Following that we walked up Champs-Élysées for a spot of shopping and an awesome French-Italian pizza & beer for lunch. That pizza could seriously be the best I've ever had.
Next we walked up to the Arc de Triomphe, which is an awesome sight, before we made our way to the Eiffel Tour.
We walked up the first two levels of the tower, and then caught the mandatory lift to the very top. Amazing views, great experience, and we capped it off with a beer on the tower before heading down for a picnic dinner with the tour group.
We then jumped on a ferry ride along the Seine to finish the day. Bonsoir indeed.
