Unfortunately since my last blog I have to report that Julie's father did pass away on the 21st of August 2013. Michael was a great man to know, he was always happy and making people laugh. I can't remember a time in the 35 years that I have known him to have a bad word to say about anyone, he might have said they were wrong, but he never said it with venom. He was always willing to help in anyway he could and it is without doubt that our adventure would not have happened if it weren't for Michael's help over the years. Michael loved his family more than anything, and his love wasn't restricted to his immediate family, it extended to their partners equally and like all Great Grandfathers, he adored his granddaughter Ella and made sure he was around for her birth. He will be missed greatly, and his memory treasured for ever. RIP Michael Granger.

Trish Bensley Dear Julie & Michael, our condolences at your dearly loved Dad's passing on. Sounds like you have a real treasure of a Father to remember Julie, and his spirit will always guide you when you think of him. We are slowly making our way homewards, by late October; in Kununurra at present on the 2 bikes. Trish Bensley and Dave Carroll.
Richard 8 months on, still brings a tear to my eye. Words so fitting for such a great guy.
