Well i survived the first half of my Aussie road trip! 40 hours on a bus from Alice Springs all the way to Cairns. At least i saw the desert though, hour after hour after hour after hour of nothing! Have been in Cairns working for the last 2 weeks, so far have only done one trip which was to the Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef last Sunday. The winds were high so the weather wasn't too good, but the island was still beautiful. Am going diving for two days this wednesday (8th), living on the boat. Will being doing 7 dives of the Great Barrier Reef, including one night dive. So am looking forward to that, i just hope the weather holds out Am back from my two day living on a boat trip. Completed 7 dives and 1 night dive, which was amazing. Saw a turtle, a white tip reef shark, and the little mermaid...who started singing..."i want to be where the people are i want to see, want to see them dancing". Was great fun. On the way back to Cairns some dolphins started swimming next to the boat, which just made a perfect ending to an amazing experience!. I also managed the whole two days without getting motion sickness!
