This morning we woke up in Passau Germany. Glenn and I are travelling to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic and Milton and Liz are going to Salzburg in Austria to check if the jills are still alive with the Sounds of Music. Regensburg is a medieval city on the banks of the Danube. Milton has gone for a tour of the Audi museum in Ingolstadt. Today we woke up in Nuremberg Ns we are doing a tour of the Medieval Village. Nuremberg is the second largest city in the state of Bavaria. Most of the city was completely destroyed in WWII in a 90 minute blitz. hitler chose the town as the site for his annual Nazi Party Rallies. This morning we continue to cruise along the Main River (pronounced Mine). It is picturesque rural country side dotted with small villages. We took the opportunity to have a bit of a sleep in. Glenn was up and in the gym on the treadmill at around 7.30 though. Because we are cruising today we have a couple of activities on board. At about 10.45am there is a Bavarian Fruhschoppen which included beer, white sausage, bratwurst, sauerkraut, pretzel,sausage etc etc....

This morning we wake up in Wurzburg the capital of Franconia in northwestern Bavaria. We are off the ship at 9.00 am for a tour of the 'Residenze' built for the prince bishop of the Schonborn Family. We are able to tour some of the palace and the frescos and the plaster decorations are to be seen to be believed. Everyday we marvel at how these buildings came to be so many years ago.
