Well, I better finish the dramatic story of our weekend - I left off telling you that some of my fellow travelers were most likely drugged - either somebody spiked their beers or as I mentioned something was in the hippie port wine. Fortunately the rest of us were in good shape and we made sure they had lots of water and convinced them it was time to go home and not go skinny-dipping. (Oh which Trine and I actually did earlier that night. Very funny. She was just wearing french knickers and myself I was wearing a white thong and a bra. Hmm when we went out there was at least 200m to the nearest indian men bathing but for the 5 minutes we were in the water we managed to draw quite a crowd and they had lined themselves up on the beach next to our clothes just waiting for us to come out of the water!!! Yikes. Fortunately Camilla felt compassion for us and ran into the water with our tops wo we could cover ourselves up a bit). I shared a beachhut with the girl who got 'intoxicated' - we went to bed at 5 in the morning - and I didn't sleep well all night (hmmm or at least until 8:15 where I woke up, of course) as I kept waking to check if she was still breathing.... During the night her head was turned away from me so I was quite shocked in the morning when she turned around and had had a nosebleed during the night. Oh no. But they both turned out to be allright so good riddance!!!
Saturday was spent chilling at the beach. The beach was almost perfect - and that is saying a lot when it comes from me - as most of you probably know I HATE THE BEACH normally. But here the water was SOOOOOO nice - perfect temperature, no seaweed, no weird disgusting animals swimming around and nice waves (tried body boarding, man that was fun once you figured out how to ride the waves. I gained so much speed I almost lost my bikini pants in the waves and scraped my knees a bit when I hit the shallow waters yihaaa!). And since the beach is located in a bay the current wasn't too bad. But the sun!!! Auvh auch auch it burned! And my poor skin. Seriously, our feet would burn walking on the WHITE sand so Jeanette (who is also quite fair skinned) and I went hunting for parasols and finally managed to rent two very dirty, somewhat moldy and halfbroken parasols. Well, they weren't pretty but they served their purpose. Even lying underneath these made my skin burn. We finished up at the beach around 5 in the afternoon and went back to our huts where the toilets and water had been installed and had a nice bath. We then walked around the city for a bit, some of the girls shopping like crazy, and then again had dinner and drinks and played Bonanza. If you don't know this game - go get it. It is really funny! Well, just talking and trying to convince the Indian dj to play a bit of prodigy until we went to bed at four in the morning.
On sunday we wanted to go sailing on a boat, perhaps swim from it or see some dolphins but when we asked at the travel agency we were told that there would be no dolphins or boat trips until the 1st of nov. b*****. However, I asked a guy in a kiosk and he, of course, called one of his friends who was more than willing to take us out on his fishing boat for an hour and a half for only 200 Rupees (25 kr) pr person. This was quite funny as the boat was docked at the beach and we had to help push it out into the water! Ha ha - it went more easily than I had expected. But the best part is that we actually managed to see several dolphins!!! And went swimming at a beautiful spot called Honeymoon beach. Unfortunately, even though I wore SPF 50 I got a funny sunburn which is still very very obvious. And probably will be for another week or so. After that I had a massage - I insisted on getting a back massage from a woman and I am SOO glad I did because I still had my buttocks and butt-crack massages!!!! And my breasts a little bit.... Yuk. Had to concentrate on not tensing or starting laughing.
Gotta leave now as it is time for lunch. Hope you are all well!
