We spent the day in Qaqortoq, Greenland a beautiful village with 3200 people. With the arrival of our ship we more than doubled the population. We had to tender in as there was not a dock for cruise ships. Gary and I got up early and was on the first tender to shore at 7:30am. We had a great time exploring the one souvenir shop. We bought a couple of T-shirts:). We then walked around the colorful little village. We then went back to the ship for breakfast. We headed back to the village after showers and walked around with our friends Dean and Wanda. We went into a dollar store and a local grocery store. The locals did several demonstrations including dance, song, kayaks, and items make with local resources like reindeer antlers, seal skins and rocks and minerals. It was a great day and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We sailed at 5:00 to a gorgeous sunset.
