So we headed out on a boat to Koh Samui. A lovely island where we had a bungalow on the beach for 5 quid a night. Enjoyed drinks on the beach and not so enjoyable a thai massage which involved them crawling all over us!

We realised that we were going to be sailing past Koh Phangnan on the night of the full moon part and felt fate was telling us to go so headed over there the next day. Of course there was no accomodation so we prepared for a night on the beach. They were also asking for volunteers on the first aid stand (they only had one lifeguard) and so Mels conscience got the better of her and so we heped there from 1am-7am.

We had dinner in the famous friends bar which shows friends 24 hours. It was very cool - and we saw the episode set on a plane which they had to refilm after 9/11 because chandler was arrested for joking about bombs!

We were expecting lots of vomit and cut feet (which we got) we were not expecting an electric shock victim!

However it was not a thankless job - we had so many people come up an thank us and donate money. Everyone is volunteers and all supplies paid for by donations. it was set up after 2 swedish girls drowned 2 years ago. it is an amazing concept and was the only first aid station for a beach party with 6000 people (can be 35000).

After no sleep we got on a boat to koh tao to start...our diving rescue course. This involved 2 days of literally living in an incident as people vomited, drowned, went unconsious, lost dive buddeis etc.

A really fun course to do although not sure we sat down for 2 days and i am def much quicker at getting my scuba gear on now.

Now to our first overnight train - we arrive at bangkok at 515am.
