So I can't beleive its the middle of September already. I've been in Australia for more than 3 months now and I don't regret my decision to come here at all. Infact it's the best thing I've ever done. Not only have I met some amazing people, I've already picked up a few valuable life lessons and really started to appreciate the little things. It's cheesy, and I would be the first to mock the "travelling has really changed me" line - I definetly haven't changed. Still the same person that left Scotland, but being so far away from home really has wakened me up to how much my mum and dad help me. And I like to think I'm quite independant!! Having to ring my mum and ask how to make scrambled eggs was a particularly low point.
But anyway, things have really come together since my last blog! I've made sme really good friends and settled straight into Sydney life. We finally found a house in Bondi which has 9 of us at the moment and a mixture of Scottish (only me sadly), English & Irish. So as you can imagine, we aren't all in bed by 9pm with cups of tea. Safe to say our neighbours propably hate us.
I've been working away now in a temp office job and its the easiest money I've ever made. The work ethic out here is amazeballs - don't work to fast or hard (as they've told me off for on many occassions), chill out and free bar on Friday's. I belong here! No wonder people want to stay forever.
