Mount Vernon

Today we visited the home of George and Martha Washington at Mount Vernon, VA. Here we learned much about the life of George and Martha and how they lived. We visited the masion, gardens, plantation, museum, and education center. George Washington was an incredible man of character and leadership. He was a farmer, soldier, and the 1st President of the United States. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here to see this beautiful plantation as well as learning about this incredible man and how he influenced the shaping of the United States of America. We look forward to seeing more tomorrow at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC.
