Philadelphia
We went to historic Philadelphia by train today. The train ride was long because it had around 25 stops. When we arrived we walked to the visitor’s center and watched a movie about the Independence of 1776. We also got our junior ranger badges, where we learned lots about the colonial period. We walked over to Liberty Bell and found out that we could get some free trading cards with the founding fathers of the USA on them. We ended up getting them all. We also went to Benjamin Franklin’s house and museum, and got to talk to American famous people such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. We walked over to a tour of Independence Hall and saw where the writing of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution took place. I also found out that before Washington D.C. was the capital, Philadelphia and New York were. On the way home we got mixed up on trains and stopped to eat at Cracker Barrel. It was a really fun an historic day.
