Hi Martin, are you in Singapore yet? still waiting for pictures of Bali.Chidren have gone to Centre Parks this weekend , Zara is bungi jumping. Will save you an Easter egg next week!
As you can see im dyslexic or just stupid - wait - weight, Punds = Pounds!
Sarah
Yeah what did happen to you're chin mate - i hope those temples haven't put a curse on you (did you forget to take your shoes off?) I dont blame you with male, smelly, travelling, sweaty, feet ;). Get one of those funny little indonesian girls to give you a massage. Like you said money talks - probably only a couple of squid (punds obviously) and spend the rest on some more of those beautiful temples. More pics of you in there please cos you're the one travelling and people like to see the person not just the scenery! Look forward to a slide show - as long as uts not of 20th century telegraph poles. (Anyone whose a Red Dwarf fan may get that). Ah i hope you haven't sold Red Dwarfs DVD's Mr cos they are worth their wait in gold - well to some anyway. Keep the travel updates coming Willy Fogg.
Matt
Hey Martin,
Bali already! Your giving Phileas Fogg a run for his money at the rate your going.
Sorry I had to cut you short when you called, work eh, bet you don't miss it.
Pics of New Zealand look pretty good. I especially like the picture of you on the Wanganui River but one question, what's wrong with your chin Dude it's massive, well at least we're not identical anymore.
Give me a ring when you can and let me know your plans for hitting Hong Kong.
Take care,
Matt.
Martin
i every body,
I'm in Bali! And it's great! Lots of temples, cheap accomodation (at the moment I am in an apartment type double room, ensuite with lush gardens surrounding and only 50000 rupies, which comes to about 3 pounds. Only draw back is the shared Temple!) great scenery and, my favourite thing about any developing county, hundreds of crazy scooters bombing around the streets, over taking on all sides, beeping their horns constantly and narrowly avoiding one another. Great! I have to admit after travelling through the Americas, Australia did seem a little boring. Just a little too much like home.
Went to see a Temple yesterday on the bus, driving past rice fields, villages and the hurrendous capital Denpasar - I'd fortotten how bad the smog can get in these cities. It was pretty cool, however the high light of the day had to be the Bus driver turfing his already boarded customers off the bus so that he could take just me and a French fella on a special trip to the temples. He waited two hours for us to catch the sunset, and then drove us back. Money talks in Indonesia, I can tell you :-) It ended up costing us 60r's each - 'bout a fiver.
Oops - the monsoon weather is breaking so I can run back to my hotel.
Having a top time,
Take care of your selves,
Martin

You sound like you're still having a great time. Just been admiring some of your recent photo's and wishing I was there too. Furthest I've been this year is Edinburgh last week!

Hello Sam,
What can I say, I'm afraid the booze got the better of me and I had to go in search of my bed. Sorry about that. For any one else at home that thinks I may be losing my touch, in my defense, let me just add that it was five in the morning.
Hope your travels go well too, Sam, and look forward to maybe meeting up in Perth - if you ever get out of Dunedin that is :)
Also, for every one - new photos posted, some good ones from the Tongariro crossing.
Enjoy,
Martin

Hi Martin :-) Enjoyed meeting you in Dunedin. Hope the rest of your travels go well. Hopefully I'll make it to Perth and get to say hey to you before you head off elsewhere. Liked the photos a lot but I'm running out of change for the internet so I'll have to pop back for another look. You seem to have a knack for photography. Sam. PS (Where the hell did you get to the other night. Wayne and I looked up from the bar and you were nowhere to be seen!)
