We arrived at the Holiday Garden View Hostel at 11 and spent the day recovering from the train journey. Having finally had a full night's sleep, both Emma and I were completely knackered. We met Mark on the taxi (essentialy a pick-up truck) from the train station. We quickly realised we had very similar plans and that we would be trekking together.

The three of us grabbed a tuk tuk around the town to see the Buddhist temples and the sunday afternoon market.

That night we went to sleep around 10 to energise ourselves for the trek the next day.
