After spending the evening of the 10th in Auckland we were up early again to head down to Hot water beach. I signed up for sea kayaking when we arrived. After pairing up we set off along the coast line to cathedral cove where the water has created caves all along the beaches. After about an hour or so we landed on a beach and our instructors surprised us all with hot drinks and they catered for all. We set off again for another hour before heading back home just before dark. The activity was great fun and it was a great way to see the coastline.
In the evening the whole group went to hot water beach. We had to wait until low tide at 10pm for the best chance to dig the best hot pools. Unfortunately keeping the temperature consistent was difficult and the a lot of the time the water was too hot to even put your feet in. Decent experience but I was hoping it was going to be better.
