Aimee, Paige, Jess, Matt and I flew to depensar airport in Bali on Wednesday the 12th and checked into the Sandat inn around 10. Within the first hour of being in Bali we accidentally massively over tipped two guys at the airport pushing our bags, and almost hustled out of more money when buying some adapters and of course offered drugs by everyone in the street. Went out for a few drinks that first night but with beers costing less than £1 a few turned into a lot. The hotel had a nice pool so the next day we chilled there and walked around some of the markets and went out again in the evening to a club called sky garden which was my favourite club with 5 floors. 3rd night was a foam party which was great fun and on the 4th day we finally got out of Kuta and went on a day trip with a tour guide from our hotel. Firstly we went to padnwasa beach where we stayed for a few hours. Crystal clear water amazing sand. The girls had a massage on the beach while I was getting pestered by tourists who wanted to have their photo taken with me cause I'm just that good looking. Next beach was Padang-Padang. Absolutely stunning place. Favourite of the two. After another couple of hours there our last stop was the Uluwutu temple. On entrance we were giving robes to wear and some nuts to give to the monkeys. The temple was built on the edge of vertical cliffs which made for good views of the ocean but the temple itself wasn't much to look at. What made it was hand feeding the monkeys until near the end of the bag of nuts I was robbed by one particularly fat monkey. After that we called it a day and our peer guide took us home. After a few more nights out in Kuta and some amazing dinners for next to nothing we spent our second week on Gili T. Until the last two days where we had to come back to Kuta due to our return flight. However this allowed us to fit in riding elephants which we did for around 40mins getting some great photos in the process. A little added extra to the day came when we paid an extra $10 to hold an orangutan and get a professional photo printed out. They were very cute.
Back to Kuta in the evening for buffet BBQ in sky garden. The best food I'd eaten for months! That evening should have been our last however we got our flights mixed up and ended up going to the airport a day late. After a very stressful 2 hours trying to sort out a new flight we all made it onto the virgin flight we should have got the day before. We got back to Brado's around 11am to finish off a great week.
