Our first day in Brazil was really chilled, we walked the length of Copacabana beach, stopping for a fresh coconut drink along the way and watching loads of people playing vollyball or practacing football on the sand. Matt´s Spanish is great considering he has only been learning for a few weeks but he may have ordered dos Coca instead of dos Coco (which may or may not be hard drugs in Spanish?) but we did end up with a coconut.

The afternoon we lay on Ipanima beach just reading and turning down the numerous people selling football shirts, sarongs, hats....... etc Really chilled afternoon and just what we needed to start a holiday! It got dark much earlier then I expected (between 5 and 6pm) so back to hotel then off out for first cocktail on beach before dinner
